Genshin Impact 5.8-6.X Banners Roadmap

If you know what the characters that are upcoming in the banners are, you can plan. Then you can pull for the characters you want and save primogems when the banners are not right. With the recent 5.6 update, you can be sure that miHoYo has something big in store for us. So, let’s follow LDShop to get to know the possible banner runs and reruns in Genshin Impact versions 5.8 and 6.0. Let’s get started!

Version 5.8 - Character Reruns Prediction

For the last four years, the updates around that time of the year have been called the Summer Event Patch. The previous updates during this time mainly focused on giving the players a good time. It was filled with fun and light-hearted content. Nothing too big or major happened in the previous updates around the same time. What is certain at the moment is that there will be no new character debut in 5.8 banners. But you can never be sure of what miHoYo has in mind.

The banners always have something for us. It usually features reruns of characters that are sought after. Based on the prior banners and map expansions, three characters stand a greater chance at a rerun in version 5.8. The characters are Citlali, Chasca and Wanderer. Why? If you look at the prior banners and map expansions, all the characters introduced in a region at least get one rerun before progressing. Citali and Chasca are the only characters from Natlan who do not have a rerun yet scheduled. Granted, they also have a chance in version 5.7.

 

Citlali 

Citlali is a playable Cryo character who is set to shine alongside Marvuika. This unique character is not only an EM-scaling shielder but also possesses the ability to reduce the Pyro and Hydro RES of adversaries.

Chasca

Chasca is a 5-star Anemo Bow Character in Genshin Impact that best functions as an Elemental DPS! 
The most infamous Peacemaker of the Flower-Feather Clan and no stranger to the Night Warden Wars, Chasca bears the Ancient Name of VK . She is familiar with conflicts — at times struggling with many of her own internal ones — yet despite how many would view her, she is always able to stand above them.

 

Wanderer

Wanderer (also known as Scaramouche) is a 5-Star Anemo Catalyst user that best functions as an Anemo DPS in Genshin Impact. He is also highly likely to have a rerun in this version.

Note that the banner is not confirmed. So, there can be changes here and there, might even get new characters. If you remember, Wriothesley debuted in version 4.1 of the game. But we only got a rerun of his banner in version 5.4. So, nothing is confirmed. At the end of the day, miHoYo has a plan and a lot in store for us, we should wait.

Will there be any new characters in this banner? Chances are less. Usually, the characters in the banners suit the vibe and feel of the events. If we were looking purely at the previous track record of the banners, it would always feature a skin. Previously, in the summer patch of version 4.8, we had a debut banner, but we cannot be sure if the upcoming update will also have one.  

Now, in versions 1.6, 2.8, 3.8, and 4.8, we had a new summer-themed island along with events that complemented it. Moreover, the previous ones were related to the region at the time. So, you can expect a new limited-time region related to Natlan as a part of the 5.8 update. Surely only time will tell us what will happen. We can only hope and pray for the best characters to be on the banners in both phase one and phase two.

NEW Outfits

According to extremely reliable sources, our beloved super-popular characters — Yelan and Bennett — are about to receive brand-new outfits! This news is definitely worth cheering for!
Bennett:

This four-star Pyro character, wielding a one-handed sword, is the "true six-star god of war" whose strength has long transcended the limits of his star rating! No matter how the versions change, he always remains the "T0 level core support," the versatile utility player and the stabilizing force in top-tier teams! His new outfit is undoubtedly the best tribute to this "luckiest E key"!
Yelan:

As the absolute benchmark for Hydro sub-DPS in the background, Yelan has become the core engine of many powerful team compositions with her top-notch water application ability and terrifying damage output! Her new outfit will surely make this elegant and powerful ranger even more dazzling!

Version 6.0 -  New Characters and New regions

For Genshin Impact version 6.0, we can only guess what might happen and the characters coming in the banners. Again, basing the future on the past track record, after a Summer patch, we get the major start of a new region. Now, if you are thinking, won’t there be a version 5.9? Till now, with the previous versions, there has not been a 9th patch of a particular version. MiHoYo does take the seven ate nine thing seriously, it seems. A new region means new and playable characters.

Realease Date

If the game avoids any delays over the course of 2025, then it’s possible to predict that Version 6.0 will be released on September 10. Patches for the game are usually released on Wednesdays every six weeks and, considering the title has been on a steady release pace, it seems unlikely this schedule will be affected any time soon.

New Character - Columbina 

As for the new character, we currently know that Columbina will be available in version 6.0.She makes her first appearance during Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: A Winter Night's Lazzo alongside her fellow Harbingers. Although there is not much information about her at present, Colombiya has great potential to become a character with a unique style and novel mechanisms. Her mysterious background, angelic setting and musical elements make us look forward to her official debut in the future.

New Regions?

Originally, the Snezhnaya region was widely believed to be the focus of Genshin Impact’s version 6.0 and subsequent updates after the current Natlan region arc comes to an end. However, the most recent leaks instead suggest that the Nod-Krai subregion will be the entire focus of the version 6.0 updates, and that the highly anticipated Snezhnaya region may not arrive now until version 7.0. 
Although the Snezhnaya region arriving later than initially expected might seem like a cause for frustration, in the long run, introducing the Nod-Krai subregion first could end up being the perfect way to handle Snezhnaya.

A potential benefit of making players begin their journey through Snezhnaya in the Nod-Krai subregion is that this could provide the room to expand the narrative of the Fatui Harbingers. Aside from the few Fatui Harbingers in Genshin Impact whom players have gotten to meet firsthand so far, there is still a lot of mystery surrounding this central antagonist group, and allowing players to freely roam into the region that’s under the control of the Fatui Harbingers could undermine their perceived authority and strength. So, by spending time in the outskirts of the Snezhnaya region in Nod-Krai, players could potentially recruit allies and learn more about the Fatui Harbingers, preparing before inevitably encountering any more of these dangerous characters.

Version 6.X

According to reliable leaks, the Anemo boy Durin will debut in Version 6.1!

The Fatui's Second Harbinger [Doctor] Dottore - confirmed as an Electro character - is projected for Version 6.5 or 6.6.Moreover, the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, Varka, will join our ranks as an Anemo warrior after Version 6.4!
But the horizon holds even more:A new Hexenzirkel member、Liyue's white steed adeptus、The highly anticipated Vertin, proprietress of the Voynich Guild will all gradually arrive in future updates!

Talking about the Fatui, we still have many more to see of them. Remember that Snezhnaya is the home of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers and is the land of the Tsaritsa. So, you can expect the reruns of either Arlecchino or Tartaglia. Sometimes, we might get a new playable character from the Order of the Fatui. In the initial patches of the 6.X, we can get some great characters. But, we will have to wait for the later updates, possibly giving the Tsaritsa and Dainsleif as playable characters.

At the end of the day, we will never know how the story will progress and how things will play out in Tevyat. Remember that Mavuika’s Gnosis is still with her. The Fatui failed in retrieving it. So, we might get to see another member of the Eleven Fatui Harbinger in action.

 

Conclusion

In short, with the upcoming updates and patches, there will be many new characters and features. In version 5.8, you can expect the Summer Patch. In this patch, you can expect a possible banner rerun of Citali and Chasca. What might come in version 6.0 is still up in the sky. We might get a rerun of Albedo or any of the already playable Eleven Fatui Harbinger members. Sometimes even both. 

“Nothing really matters, anyone can see”. Truly, all the banner talks and leaks will never matter if you do not make the most of them. Most importantly, your goal is to have fun. May you get the characters that you want from the current banner and in the upcoming banners.
